Terms, written like a human wrote them.
A short, readable agreement between you (the tilkbook account holder) and us (1001560455 Ontario Inc., operating as tilkbook). The defaults are generous; the catches are signposted.
Who this applies to
"You" means the person or business that holds the tilkbook account. "We" means 1001560455 Ontario Inc., operating as tilkbook, with its principal place of business in Canada. By using tilkbook, you agree to this.
What we provide
We provide an online booking platform and associated services (calendar sync, payments, reminders, API). We aim for high availability.
We may change features. We won't materially reduce what you get on a paid plan without 30 days notice and the option to leave with a refund.
Your data and content
You own your data, your clients' data, your booking links — all of it. We get a narrow license to host and process it so the product works.
On account termination, you have 90 days to export. After that, your data is deleted.
Billing & payment
Paid plans bill monthly or annually in advance, per the price shown at checkout. Annual plans get a 30-day refund window for first-time purchases.
Payment-processing fees (Stripe) are passed through; we do not take a percentage of your bookings.
Failed payments grace for 14 days, then read-only mode for 14 days, then suspension. Your data stays put through suspension.
Fair use
- No spam SMS / email through tilkbook (carrier policy + our policy).
- No use that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction or ours.
- No reverse engineering, scraping our public marketing pages at scale, or bypassing rate limits.
- No use to facilitate illegal services, ineligible medical procedures, or harassment.
Liability
tilkbook is provided "as is" — to the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at amounts you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
We don't exclude liability for things you can't legally exclude (gross negligence, fraud, statutory consumer rights).
Termination
You can cancel any time, from inside your account, no calls.
We can terminate for fair-use breach, non-payment, or if running your account becomes impossible (e.g. you're placed under sanctions). We give 30 days notice when we can.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes are emailed to account owners 14 days before they take effect, with a "previous version" link kept available forever.
Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes are first attempted in good faith via mediation; failing that, the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction.
Nothing in this clause limits your statutory consumer rights at home.
This policy is versioned at github.com/tilkbook/legal. Every change is signed, dated, and diffable. Material changes get an email to every account owner 14 days before they take effect.
